ARCTIC WALL to FREEZE Britain with -10C temperatures

Winter Scene - Snow Forcast

BRITAIN is facing a -10C (14F) Arctic blast to hit within a fortnight as freezing temperatures bring the first flurries of snow to parts of the country this weekend.

The mercury will plummet to -3C (26.6F) in exposed spots across Scotland and northern England over the next 36 hours amid fresh warnings this winter could rival some of the coldest on record. The Scottish highlands are about to get what is likely to be the first dusting of the season with a more widespread risk of snow to elevated levels across the region. Bitterly cold mornings will bring shrouds of thick fog threatening chaos for rush-hour commuters next week.
