Kiln Dried Logs in Crates

We sell crates of kiln dried firewood measuring 800mm tall by 1150mm square. All crate sizes are exactly the same whether you buy Oak logs, Ash logs or Birch firewood.

We use the same standard crate for each species of kiln dried hardwood logs to ensure consistency.

Crates of kiln dried firewood are great value for money and are very neat and tidy to store. Unlike a loose load of logs (also available on this website), the kiln dried logs are packed neatly into the crate for your convenience.

However, large crates of wood like these are very heavy so if you want to move one around you will need mechanical assistance in the form of a manual pump truck or pallet truck. All our firewood crates are Woodsure Ready To Burn Certified. Your kiln dried logs are guaranteed to have less than 18% moisture content when they arrive.

Highest Quality High Heat Output

Burning kiln dried firewood logs with a low moisture level gives you a long, consistent burn which outputs loads of warmth into your home. For open fires and wood burning stoves, kiln dried logs are the safest solid wood fuel you can use and the most efficient too.

We only stock high quality dried logs in crates with a low carbon footprint certified by the Ready to Burn Scheme and suitable for open fires, wood burning stoves, multi fuel stoves, pizza ovens and outdoor fire pit use.

Your wood fuel will output the most heat of any kind of log you can buy because they are hardwood logs and dry. Hardwood logs burn hot, smoke less in your fireplace, light more easily and output more heat. Wet wood is inefficient, expensive and bad for your chimney and firewood burning appliance.

Crates of Kiln Dried Logs Delivered

Firewood crates are available for delivery anywhere in Cornwall and Plymouth and are the perfect solution for anyone looking for a bulk purchase that is easy to store in your garage or outbuilding.

The crate itself, once emptied, can be broken down and used for kindling to get your fire started. For kindling, choose kiln dried softwood because softwoods light really easily. We sell kiln dried kindling in nets.

Hardwood Log Species in Crates

You can buy from Logan's Logs, three different species of wood in crates of kiln dried firewood. They are all hardwood logs and as such perfect for log burners with a very low moisture content.

Birch Logs in Crates

Ready to Burn certified birch logs are typically our lowest cost kiln dried firewood option. Birch logs have a moderate burn time with a high heat output. They smoke a little more than other species just because they often have bark on. The bark is handy for getting the fire started in your wood burner though and a lot of customers regularly ask for Bich kiln dried logs because they have a great slightly sweet aroma.

Oak Logs in Crates

Oak is our most dense hardwood log and provides exceptional burn time and heat output representing great value for money as a result. Oak logs simply are the highest quality kiln dried firewood we sell.

Oak costs more than Birch but it is certainly worth it.

Ash Logs in Crates

Ash hardwood is slightly less dense than oak but denser than birch, striking the perfect balance between ease of lighting and burn duration. This makes ash one of the best all-round firewoods for use in both wood burning stoves and open fires.

You’ll enjoy a bright, lively flame and a steady, high heat output that warms your room efficiently without excessive smoke. Ash logs are clean, consistent and reliable—perfect for anyone who wants a dependable, premium-quality hardwood fuel.

Getting the Fire Started

Kindling & Firelighters

Choose from our range of affordable firelighters and kindling (sticks). Use these to build your fire before adding kiln dried logs.

Products like Wood Wool Firelighters are designed to ignite very easily when presented with a burning match and softwood kindling combusts easily in the early stages of your fire creating the necessary heat to burn larger hardwood logs later on. Our kiln dried logs are perfect for use in wood burners, providing a clean and efficient burn.

Testimonials

I have been buying hardwood logs from Logans Logs for several years. Their prices are competitive, and the logs are good quality, properly kiln dried. However, the reason that I choose Logans Logs every time is the service. Everyone is friendly and helpful. A special mention to Caz in the office; she is patient and responsive and makes ordering a straightforward process. All the drivers are cheerful and accommodating, arrive on time and go to a lot of trouble to make sure that that they leave the logs where I want them.

I am really impressed with Logans Logs. I generally order online which is really straightforward. I placed my order several months ago when Logans had a sale on. The money doesn’t leave my account until the logs are due to be delivered. A delivery date was agreed. The driver turned up on time tipping the load onto a tarpaulin (in case it rained overnight). This tarp also made it easier to clean up my driveway of the little bits of wood and bark. Since I have been ordering from Logan’s Logs I have had no problems. The staff are lovely and friendly. I cannot fault the service I have received. I would highly recommend Logan’s Logs.
