Delivery To Bodmin
Bodmin is only a few miles from our location in Cornwall and we deliver to customers in Bodmin every day. If you order over £300 worth, delivery is free otherwise there is a small charge of £15.00.
Our delivery team are super helpful and we are happy to arrange delivery a day that suits you. Customers can also order in advance and arrange a delivery date well ahead of time. This is particularly good to do in the busy colder months when demand for logs increases.
Which Variety of Hardwood Logs Should I Choose?
Oak, Ash and Birch are all ideal for modern wood burners most commonly found in homes in Cornwall. Any of those species will meet your home heating needs but there are some considerations that will help you decide between them.
Oak is a very dense hardwood and is typically more expensive. Oak logs are harder to get started but great for a fire that's already very hot. An Oak log will output a lot of heat and take a long time to burn.
Choose Birch to get your fire started or if you would prefer to reduce cost. Birch also comes with bark attached naturally, this can be helpful for getting the fire started but some customers prefer not to have the bark and that's fine. In which case, Ash is a great firewood buying choice.
We do not sell softwoods because they burn so quickly they hardly give any heat at all. As a fuel for heating your home, softwood just doesn't cut it.
