Product Description
Oak Large Crate Delivered
The crates of kiln dried logs that we sell are the largest units of oak firewood available from Logan's Logs. These large crates are the largest, most convenient and efficient way to buy kiln dried hardwood logs. The convenient crate design contains stacked firewood (in this case kiln dried oak logs) which allows you to store your wood neatly and safely.
Large Crates of oak firewood are designed to be much more convenient than loosely filled bulk bags, loose volume loads (by tipper lorry) or buying loads and loads of small nets.
If you use your wood burning stove every day to heat your home or business and need a steady reliable supply of kiln dried oak logs, the large crates are a great option for you.
Oak crates are delivered by small lorry, please give details of access when you make your purchase at the checkout.
Hardwood Logs That Burn Properly
Our kiln dried oak firewood is a superb choice to alternative seasoned firewood options. The oak logs are Woodsure ready to burn scheme certified which means we guarantee the wood will have less than 18% moisture content when they leave our yard.
The best kiln dried logs are ready to burn approved with ultra low internal moisture content. Our kiln dried logs are fresh sawn to 10 inches long and will fit most wood burning stoves, even small ones.
Oak logs deliver exceptional burning quality thanks to their high density. Over and above the likes of Birch, Ash or Alder, Oak firewood options deliver exceptional heat output. They are incredibly calorific and the longest lasting firewood option on the burner. Oak is widely regarded as the most popular fuel product for a wood burning stove.
Storing Kiln Dried Oak Logs in Crates
The large crates make excellent value and storage combined. The crate helps you keep your new kiln dried logs off the ground in a ready raised log store. We do not wrap our logs in clear pallet wrap which helps ensure your crates of kiln dried logs have logs of airflow around the logs. This helps to keep them dry.
Always ensure your logs have good airflow and are kept off moist ground.
Crate Dimensions
Crate sizes are all the same. Our crates of kiln dried logs are 800mm tall, 1150mm wide and 1150mm deep. The internal volume of the crate is therefore just over 1 cubic metre.
Typically large crates are purchased for delivery. If you are unable to accept delivery and wish to click and collect instead, you will need a larger sized vehicle to transport an oak crate safely.
If you drive a smaller vehicle, please have a look at some of our other firewood options such as the Oak nets, oak barrow bags or oak boot bags of kiln dried logs.
All of our logs are woodsure ready to burn certified and if this is your first order with us, sign up to our newsletter for 5% off to get even more value for money our of your large oak firewood crate purchase.

Hardwood Log Information
Our Hardwood is harvested from very large forests, under strict control by the Forestry Commission or other governing body depending on where we buy the Hardwood from, because Hardwood trees are natural they will vary in size, shape, even the bark may vary in looks, some trees will be smaller than others, some trees will be larger, the odd log might be a strange shape, unfortunately we cannot guarantee all logs will be the same size, you will get smaller logs and larger in your delivery, we check every load visibly to ensure you get the highest quality Kiln Dried Logs available.
Because the logs are Kiln Dried the bark will fall off quite a few logs, this is perfectly normal, the bark will burn as good as the wood, in most cases the bark will be used instead of kindling sticks or burnt on its own. Bark does form part of the delivery.
We do a hand-picked log service where any loose bark is removed and any larger logs will be removed, each log in your delivery will be picked out and if it has loose bark, it will be removed, if the log is larger than the majority, it will be removed and replaced with similar sized logs, this is extremely time consuming and will require a quotation, we will be delighted to help, please call our customer service team on 0800 8021 223 for a quotation for this service.
All our Kiln Dried Hardwood Logs are harvested and go through a careful kiln drying process, this involves continuous moisture and temperature checking by experienced staff.
This ensures that your Logs are in the best condition when they leave our premises in Wadebridge, Cornwall, our Kiln Dried Logs are continuously checked by our quality control process which ensures they are dried to below 18% moisture, most of our logs have an average of 15%.
Please don't be alarmed if you see the bark coming away from the log, this means the Kiln Dried Log has a lower moisture level, this bark is great for lighting your fire, our customers really like this as they don’t need kindling.
Our Kiln Dried Logs will vary in size, they are a natural product, trees all grow differently, most have a different diameter, so then the Log is split they will vary in size, you will have some larger logs as well as smaller ones, the smaller Logs are great to get your fire up to temperature quickly then you can put the larger Logs on for a longer burn, you may also notice that the bark will look slightly different from others, this is perfectly normal as they are a natural product and like us, they all grow and mature differently.
