Should I buy nets, barrow bags, or bulk bags?
It depends on how often you burn, how much space you have, and how much value you want.
Nets / small bags
Best for occasional use or top-ups. Easy to carry and store, but the most expensive way to buy logs per cubic metre.
Handybags
A step up from nets. Still easy to handle and stack neatly, but you’ll pay more per log compared to bulk options.
Barrow bags
A good middle ground. Smaller than bulk bags but still decent value, and easier to move around if space or access is limited.
Bulk bags (dumpy / builder’s bags)
The most popular option. Good value, suitable for regular burners, and typically hold around 0.6–0.7m³ of loose logs.
Best balance of cost, convenience, and quantity.
Loose load (tipped logs)
Usually the cheapest way to buy. Logs are tipped in a pile, so you get flexibility on volume, but you’ll need space and a bit of effort to stack them.
Large crates (stacked logs)
Premium option. Logs are neatly stacked, so you often get more usable wood for the same space, with less waste and easier storage.
